My work explores fleeting moments, journey, and serenity. I am drawn to waterfalls, skies before and after a storm, wandering paths. open fields. and forested landscapes because they embody these themes.
My paintings often begin with snapshots on my phone– brief moments that might otherwise pass unnoticed. The natural landscape provides the foundation for each piece, while the painting evolves organically in oils. As I work, I hope the finished paintings invite viewers to discover their own emotional connection–perhaps sensing the solitude of a worn snowy path, the quiet strength of storm clouds gathering over a landscape, or the gentle comfort found in the repetition of flower forms.
Through these landscapes, I hope to offer moments of stillness that encourage reflection, contemplation, and a renewed appreciation for nature’s fleeting beauty.
