Whether working on a figurative oil, painting or painting a Plein Air landscape, I strive to create paintings that capture the likeness as well as the spirit of an individual or place.
I’m an advocate of
Painting directly from life and do so on a regular basis, painting from a live model in the studio or outdoors en plein air.
I received my BFA from Westfield University, and attended Massachusetts College of art. Upon graduating, I worked at the Museum of Fine Art in Boston, Massachusetts, where I was deeply influenced by the work of America’s first impressionists. After moving to Richmond, Virginia, I continued my artistic journey by working in the field of graphic design, which contributed to my vision as a painter. My work can be found in private and corporate collections throughout the United States.
