Orbiting

My fiber work explores what happens when structure meets intuition. I’m drawn to weaving because it begins with constraint—a fixed frame, a warp, a limited set of materials—but leaves room for improvisation, experimentation and surprise.

These works were created over several years as I learned and experimented with circular weaving. Some began with a clear visual idea, while others developed through the process of making: following a material, changing direction or allowing irregularity to become part of the composition. Across the pieces, repetition and disruption coexist. Fibers gather, wander, weather, return and orbit.

The works are handwoven primarily from cotton and wool, with mixed and reclaimed fibers incorporated into some pieces. Each is finished as a self-contained fiber artwork and prepared for wall display.
