Painted during a plein air outing with the Virginia Plein Air Painters. This is the old Monastery that is on Richmond Hill. The gardens and overlook are quite beautiful and this scene struck me as particularly so as it had a nice play on light and shadows along the pathway, wall and flowering hydrangeas.
