As an artist, my creative journey is rooted in a lifelong dedication to balancing the discipline of teaching with the expressive freedom of art. Having spent 35 years teaching elementary school, I developed an appreciation for the wonder of discovery and the importance of nurturing curiosity. Now, in retirement, I am able to devote more time to my passion for art, exploring new techniques and mediums that fuel my imagination and bring a sense of tranquility and fulfillment to my life. My work often reflects a desire to capture the beauty in everyday moments and the subtle details that might otherwise go unnoticed. Art remains a vital part of my life, serving as both a personal refuge and a means of connecting with others.
Painting is my happy time. All the stress melts away and time stands still. The healing power of art is a lived experience for me. I want others to have the opportunity to benefit from that power.
