Art is my way of exploring and making sense of the world. My work reflects the interplay between emotion, memory, and the human experience, often translating abstract concepts into vivid, tangible forms. Through a combination of texture, color, and shape, I aim to create pieces that evoke both introspection and connection.
At its core, my work is about capturing the beauty in complexity. Whether exploring themes of identity, resilience, or transformation, my art seeks to challenge, inspire, and provoke thought. It is a constant journey, one of discovery and rediscovery, where every piece becomes a reflection of my growth as both an artist and a storyteller.
Their mission resonates with me because they are actively creating rooms for young kids and adults to express themselves. Growing up as a kid, in the summer time I would go to these art camps and I remember how alive it made me feel to be able to create things with my own hands and find a outlet where I could express myself without being verbal. Growing up as a shy kid, this really meant a lot to me, as I got older I was able to communicate better verbally and tells stories through my art. But all would not be possible if groups like these weren’t out there for me to lean in to.
