Summer DeCoste creates fluid acrylic paintings about hope, healing, and surrender.
Her process begins with intention. She plans color, density, weight, and opacity, then releases control and allows the paint to move. The result is a visual meeting place between chaos and calm.
After surviving cancer with a 9% chance of survival at the time of her diagnosis, Summer began to understand hope as a daily practice. Healing became one step, one breath, one hour, one day.
Her paintings carry that rhythm. The flowing forms may suggest clouds, flowers, scars, stars, scans, skies, or light breaking through. Summer leaves room for each viewer to see what they need to see.
Her work invites us to slow down, lift our eyes, and find beauty still moving through the mess.
