“Play Time”

Pauline Clay, CPSA, CPX, UKCPS, is a self-taught artist who lives in a rural area of Dinwiddie County, Virginia, which provides incredible opportunities to experience the subtle, quiet beauty of nature. That, and an intense love of flowers and travel, have become the inspiration for much of her colored pencil art. She shoots all of the photos she uses as references for her artwork and always has a camera or cellphone handy — just in case. She enjoys capturing what could be a fleeting moment and transforming it into artwork that allows people to enjoy nature’s splendor in a way they may not have previously experienced. Her work has been featured in multiple magazines, and in numerous international art competitions.
