Blake Makes Art is a practice grounded in the belief that images can function as structures — systems that hold tension, memory, and meaning without resolving into narrative. The work does not seek to illustrate; it constructs. Each composition becomes an arrangement of forces: weight and void, repetition and interruption, control and fracture.
At its core, the practice explores how form behaves. Shapes are reduced, edges sharpened, and elements repeated until they begin to destabilize their own logic. What appears ordered often feels close to collapse; what appears minimal carries density and pressure. The work invites viewers to experience structure not as something fixed, but as something constantly negotiated.
Meaning emerges through rhythm, proximity, and imbalance rather than direct explanation. Familiar visual cues are stripped of context and reorganized into systems that feel both intentional and uncertain. Through layering, subtraction, and refinement, each piece becomes part of an evolving visual language — open, unresolved, and continuously in motion.
