Shockoe Bottom

Plantinum and palladium prints are hand made by brushing the platinum emulsion on cotton art paper. The print is made by placing the negative and paper in direct contact then exposed to ultraviolet light, developed, cleared and washed. The resulting platinum print is characterized by a gradual tonal change from black to white.
