Shockoe Slip

Platinum and palladium prints are hand made by brushing the platinum emulsion on cotton paper. The print is made by placing the negative and paper in direct contact then exposing to ultraviolet light, developed, cleared and washed. The resulting platinum print is characterized by a gradual tonal change from black to white.
