Art gives us all hope and joy. Art for the Journey brings that hope and joy to so many in our community often ignored or forgotten. I am proud to have taught for the organization in the past.
Joy, awe and wonder draw me to my painting subjects. I often experience those emotions in nature but also in everyday moments. I hope my joy and wonder is evident to the viewer and makes them smile. I work primarily in pastels, drawn to their iridescent beauty.
An exhibiting member of both the MidAtlantic Pastel Society and the James River Art League, I have shown my paintings at a variety of venues including Crossroads, For Art’s Sake, the Cultural Arts Center at Glen Allen, the Montpelier Center for Arts & Education and a number of community art venues.
