Through the Open Window

I create to feel alive, like my efforts are contributing to something bigger than myself. Reflecting on this year’s theme, “A Celebration of Hope and Healing,” I wanted to depict a place that gives me a feeling of rest and new beginnings – a beloved view of the English countryside through my great aunt’s guest room window. This view offers solace, peace, and a spark of creativity that only nature can provide. The open window represents the world open to exploration, the sky bright and blue for the day that lies ahead. When I rest here, I return inspired and hopeful for the days that lie ahead. My hope is that others will feel this sense of peace and love as they look on this artistic interpretation of one of my favorite places.
