My landscapes are a blend of real places and personal impressions. I work across multiple surfaces, using mixed media on canvas, fresco on marble dust panel, acrylic on birch, and watercolor on paper.
I’m especially drawn to the space where land meets sky—the horizon line. It acts as both a boundary and a bridge, linking the tangible with the infinite.
That in-between space is where I feel most at home, on the edge of land and air, looking out at the sky.
Sometimes, I add a streak of color or a bit of metallic leaf to highlight or blur the divide between land and sky. I like the idea that each viewer might see their own horizon line.
Even a subtle mark can be enough to spark a feeling.
My botanical work is inspired by the layers of color, texture, and movement in nature. I’m not trying to copy what I see, but to capture how it makes me feel. I’m less interested in realism and more in capturing an emotional response—how a tangled vine or overlapping petals convey growth resilience, and connection. I gravitate toward clusters and intertwining forms because, like in nature, we thrive when surrounded by those who encourage us to bloom.
Architectural elements also emerge in my work—faint outlines of pathways, archways, or weathered structures. These details add a sense of place without telling the whole story, leaving room for the viewer to step in and make their own connections.
